The most expensive mistakes happen before anyone writes code, in building the wrong thing, on the wrong foundation. For a major financial-services group with a sprawling estate, the first job was simply to see it clearly.
The challenge
Many properties and teams, accumulated over years, and no single current picture of how they fit together. Scale and complexity were the problem before anything else.
